More about Aya
Remembering Aya
Photo of Aya courtesy of Photographer, Susan Lirakis
My mother was curious and enjoyed travel, always carrying a sketch book
and a small water color set and often creating postcards on the fly.
She also loved and connected with people wherever she was.
These influences are reflected in this show including works from Iceland
where she travelled with a childhood friend but also in this third collaboration
with Ann Mallory, a long-time friend and colleague.
I imagine that Aya is looking down and smiling, knowing that friends,
new and old, are enjoying and visiting together.
