A VALENTINES FINE FILIGREE (Quilling) WORKSHOP
Saturday, February 7: 1:30—3:30
All quilling supplies & calligraphy messages will be provided $45.00
Learn how to create beautiful floral quilling shapes, how to assemble individual pieces and
concepts of shading to give flat quilling a 3-D effect. By the end of the workshop,
you will have three roses (open flower, part open, and rose bud)
with your choice of three handwritten calligraphy messages in assorted colors.
You can combine words and flowers in different combinations
to personalize your card for that special person.

*If you previously attended the snowflake workshop, please bring your tool and chart.

THE ART OF WRITING: ITALIC CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP
A Base for All Lettering Arts

Five Weeks of Two Hour Sessions—$200.
Classes are weather considerate
Have you thought about using words in your handmade books, or sending cards
with hand written messages or using words in your art...
This class requires no previous artistic skills and is a great way to learn about an exciting art field
Students will be introduced to several additional styles of calligraphy—Copperplate, Blackletter, Illuminated Letters and exciting contemporary work—all of which can be combined with Italic.
The Italic font will be learned using a broad edge fountain pen
at a pace that allows students to gain confidence.
Lower and upper case letters, numbers and punctuation are studied and incorporated into finished layouts.
Calligraphy is a beautiful and useful artistic technique, fun and meditative
and a wonderful way to enjoy the winter
