Hope Grows Series
I was fortunate to be in my studio during the lock down and
then later with other restrictions. It was the struggle of the worlds’ circumstances and hearing personal stories that brought about the
overwhelming and the small discoveries.
The entry into thoughts of struggling to grow and finding
the potential of 'unearthed' resources is viewed here
through the focused glass 'windows' in the matting.
Nature requires reserves, such asseeds and nutrients, in order to
perpetuate a life cycle. A combination of such elements brings hope.
A small genetic cycle pushes through to evolution
and the resilience of the human spirit continue to thrive.
Fused glass, with its reflection of light and color, share
attributes that are indicative of continuous change.

A Garden Dream:
Fragility and strength in glass has a correlation to the characteristics of objects and actions in nature.
My work pulls from the detailed spaces that reveal physical depth and change.
The addition of natural light to fused glass, reveals some surprising effects
as well as an added moment of contemplation. A comforting space to linger.
Our minds, hearts and souls should hold enlightening experiences to renew us.
